Volunteer Opportunities

Home Host

A  home host is a person with a big heart who is willing to offer up a  couch, a bed, or a room for a week or more to a trans person in our  community experiencing homelessness.

1 in 5 transgender people (19%) in the US has faced housing discrimination.

Many shelters often deny entry or fail to provide appropriate services  based on their gender identity, making those services dangerous or  inaccessible.

How can I help?

While we provide peer to peer counseling and help  our clients get the assistance they need to get back on their feet, our  home hosts make sure they have a roof over their head during this  process.

On average, we receive four requests for assistance each  month and have assisted over a dozen people, but none of this is  possible without the compassion and generosity of our home hosts.
